"The Art Of Being Yourself"

The Way to a Wonderful Life Message for February 19, 2017
The great Albert Einstein wrote that "Joy in looking and comprehending is nature's most beautiful gift."  In choosing to feel joy, to gain a greater sense of joy in our life experiences will bring more of it from within us automatically.  Life offers us many opportunities to realize joy but the choice is always ours.  Yet, so many people go through life without experiencing much joy.  As the great Dr. O. C. Smith stated, "some people go through life as serious as bad breath."  We must lighten up and let go of anything that weighs on our spirit.  We can't be "lifted up" while our spirit is heavy, doubtful, and filled with negatives.  Whatever it is that we have experienced ... we must put it behind us.  We must eliminate everything from our thoughts that does not allow joy to be expressed through us.

Life offers us many opportunities to realize joy but the choice is always ours.  Joy is not dependent on money, success or love, it is independent of these things yet makes the experience of these things even more wonderful.  Everything in life can be more spiritually experienced as we allow the joy from within us to be expressed.

We can read in the ancient wisdom Ecclesiastes 9:7 "Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for G-d has already approved what you do. And in these words from the wise Solomon, also called Jedidiah, was, according to the Bible, Quran, and Hidden Words a fabulously wealthy and wise king of Israel and a son of David, the previous king of Israel. Knowing that the Spirit of G-d has already approved us, supports us and loves us, brings an increase of joy within us.  His words defy the idea that G-d holds anything against us or disapproves of us in any way.  The Spirit is always seeking to express more joy through us and this desire of the Spirit is not dependent on anything other than our choice to experience joy.

Joy taps into the radiance of the Spirit and provides us with a greater sense of health and happiness and prosperity.  It opens our mind to new ideas and to an intelligent awareness of the power of Spirit to guide us and direct us to realize those things that we choose to experience.  It is joy that loosens the grip of anxiety and depression and it is joy that breaks the bondage of negative  addictions in all their forms.  We cannot hold onto two states of mind simultaneously; we cannot choose joy and fear at the same time or doubt or worry.  Fear, doubt and worry blocks the awareness of Spirit in our mind, joy enhances our sense of being in the Spirit and of the Spirit.  And it is this truth that we are in the Spirit and of the Spirit that frees our mind to experience life more fully.

Although we can find the definition of joy in many dictionaries, it truly cannot be defined.  The sense of joy is unique to each individual and is felt physically, mentally, emotionally and at the soul level of our being.  To purposefully fill your mind with joy is probably one of the greatest healing potions nature/Spirit has provided for us all.

And so it is!
