The Way to a Wonderful Life Message for February 28, 2016

We hear so much in the Mass Media about the politicians that are currently running in the presidential primaries here in the United States but we don't hear so much about the "effects" of what they are creating in the minds and hearts of the people who follow them or those who listen to them.  Now, many people will say they don't watch "the news" or listen to the politicians but that does nothing to strengthen our faith or develop our soul/consciousness.  The Master Mind Jesus gave us the instruction that will give us all value during this political season if we go deeper in our understanding of his words, "be in the world but not of the world."  We will not expand our awareness of the Power and Intelligence of the Spirit by running from the seeming insanities of the world.  We expand our awareness that All Is G-d and All Is Good by lifting our consciousness to that which is above most human understanding and awareness.

In these words printed on the online Slate Magazine web site we have a perfect opportunity to go beyond the literal to the spiritual:  "
When Cruz accused Trump of supporting “socialized health care,” Trump responded: “I will not allow people to die on the sidewalks and the streets of our country.” Rubio, aghast, asked, “This is a Republican debate, right? Because that attack about letting people die in the streets …” But Trump stood firm: “Call it what you want, people are not going to be dying on the sidewalk.” In both of these exchanges, Trump came across as the only normal person, a man who responds from moral instinct, not from an ideology or a policy manual.”

In these words we see the "reflection of the soul" of all three of these presidential candidates.  Both Cruz and Rubio are fine with "letting people die in the streets."  Trump, with all his bluster and bullying, gave us evidence of the Sprit of G-d within him ... even though his words were a contradiction of so much of what we have been hearing from all three of these candidates.  As the writer of the article states so simply, "Trump came across as the only normal person."  But, the "effects" of these words didn't begin and end in the minds of these candidates only.  After the debate two women from Texas were interviewed.  Both were Rubio supporters even though Cruz is a Texas senator.  They both agreed that "Rubio thinks like them."  And in these words I immediately wondered if they truly "listened" to what was said during this debate or just allowed their soul to be unconsciously poisoned.  How would they react, I wondered, if someone asked them "so you think it is okay for people to die in the streets of American due to lack of healthcare?"  Most likely they would be highly offended by the question even though they support a candidate who just told them that he is fine with it.  Their minds have experienced "political corruption."

The Master Mind Jesus and all the great mystics throughout history have informed us that what we do to others we do to ourselves.  This is not a punishment, but a self-inflicted consequence created either consciously or unconsciously.  All three of these presidential candidates have been telling us for months about their faith in G-d and both Cruz and Rubio have been wearing their religious zeal on their sleeves.  Yet, their words regarding this one issue reveals their moral character as it applies to all the issues that a President will face.  "... not of the world" will always be our test of faith in our love for G-d for the Love of the Infinite is not conditioned by any material or physical attribute possessed by mankind.  We cannot say we love G-d as long as we exclude anyone from love.  We love everyone for G-d loves ... and this is the nature of G-d within us that is most important that we not lose sight of for it is in expressing the nature of G-d's Love that we overcome the world.

From the American Mystic Ernest Holmes:  "The thing that distinguishes the teaching of Jesus in such a glorious manner from that of all his predecessors and most of his followers is this simple fact, this great thought:  "Behold, the kingdom of God is at hand." ... Jesus did not say to the thief upon the cross; Miserable sinner that you are, you must suffer through endless ages of retribution.  This glorified soul, who sang a great psalm of life, merely said:  You are sleeping to the past and waking to the future - "Today shalt thou be with me in paradise."

Keep the faith!
