"The Art Of Being Yourself"

The Way to a Wonderful Life Message for April 23, 2017

"For G-d so Loved ..." this is a statement of absolute Truth but the words that follow this statement once included in the Bible and blessed by those of religion, became one of the most false interpretations of Divine revelation.  As with other things in life, it is accepted as true because it has been accepted by so many people as true.  But to quote the great Galileo who spent the remainder of his life under "house arrest" for revealing a scientific fact that disrupted religious dogma, "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."  It defies intelligence to believe that G-d would have an "only begotten son" and if we are open to reason, then we know there is more to this than the world has believed.

We must keep in mind that these words as written in John 3:16 were not the words of the Master Mind Jesus but the words of someone who obviously did not have the Christ Consciousness to realize the foolishness of his words.  The Master Mind Jesus gave us "I Am" the way, the truth and the life" ... rephrasing Moses' statement "I Am that Great I Am" which is G-d Intelligence, Power and Spirit omnipresent in the world in which we live.  And so as we understand that the word "Son" means of the nature of the "Father" and as Jesus declared the Truth that "the Father is Spirit" ... we realize that not only is Jesus of the Spirit but that all of Life is of the Spirit as well.  G-d Intelligence is universal.  Which is why we can state in truth that what one can do all can do.  The nature of G-d is Life and Truth and so is the nature of mankind.

How we "accept" this truth does not diminish its effect on our life or our spirit.  This past week in articles published about a suicide caused me to see just how true this is:
From the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:  It wasn't a suicide note that former NFL star Aaron Hernandez left in his prison cell when he reportedly hanged himself.  Instead, the Massachusetts corrections officers who discovered his body Wednesday morning (April 19, 2017) saw "John 3:16" written across Hernandez's forehead in red ink.  A Bible in the cell lay open to the same verse.
"John 3:16 (1599 Geneva Bible (GNV))  16 [a] For God so loveth the world, that he hath given his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth [b] in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Whether Aaron Hernandez believed, or hoped, that his believing in Jesus would give him everlasting life or whether he saw this scripture revealing that everlasting life is the truth for everyone makes little difference.  The truth is that we are of the Spirit and the Spirit is eternal and we can draw the conclusion from this that our spirit is eternal and shall find its right and perfect place always, both in this world and on the Other Side.  "In my Father's house there are many mansions ..." the Master Mind Jesus revealed to us.  As we view these statements from a perspective devoid of religious dogma, we begin to realize that this is the Truth that has been revealed to us all the way back to the Book of Genesis in the Holy Bible and the Torah and even beyond these to the Eastern philosophies.

Since we know that the Holy Bible, especially the New Testament is filled with changes, additions, subtractions and outright untruths, let's think about how these words, a combination of John 3:16 and the quote from Galileo, resonate in our mind:  "For G-d so loved the world that we have been endowed with sense, reason, and intellect and G-d has never intended us to forgo their use."

And so it is!
