have forty million reasons for failure, but not a single excuse." -
It is amazing how often
the word "excuse" is used, and often people aren't even aware
that they are making excuses ... "excuses" are the blind-spots
of our consciousness that gives up our power and potential to do and to
be more of what we truly are. Excuses are part of our human
personality that blocks the greatness of our Divine Nature from growth
and expansion. Rudyard Kipling, winner of the 1907 Nobel Laureate
in Literature, begins the first two lines of his poem, "If,"
with: "If you can keep your head when all about you are
losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all
men doubt you ..." He goes on to tell us in this powerful
poem, that "if" we can do these things ... then we will
accomplish that which we set out to accomplish ... "if" we
don't let anything be an excuse.
people find failure because they believe in it. They
believe in other people's failures and they believe in their own.
I can assure you, there is no such thing as failure ... everything that
happens works for our Good ... we just don't always recognize that this
the Science of Mind (pgs. 302,303): If one
"appears" to have failed, they should realize that there are
no failures in the Universe. They should completely erase the idea
of failure by stating that there are no failures. If one believes
that they failed last year, they will be likely to fail again this year,
unless the "false thought" is erased. Break down
everything except the "recognition" of the One Perfect Power,
which is not contingent upon any place, person, condition, time of year,
or anything but Itself. A demonstration (desired result) is made
when it comes straight from the Truth. The one who wishes to make
a demonstration must clear up their own subjective atmosphere, the
reason being that they may be objectively making statements which their
subjective thought (excuses) may be denying. In this way, we often
neutralize our word as fast as it is spoken.
When Jesus said: "Resist not,"
He meant that non-recognition of evil is the only way to avoid it.
This is true according to the law of cause and effect, for what we
persist in "recognizing" ... we persist in holding in place.
That which we refuse to recognize, we neutralize, and it is no longer
there so far as we are concerned.
So we erase any idea of failure. Now here
is where it looks as if one were not telling the truth to her/him-self,
but they are declaring the truth about the Spirit that in-dwells them.
SPIRIT NEVER FAILS. Affirm this until is is a very
part of your being: "This word blots out from my remembrance
any sense of lack, limitation, want, or fear of failure. There is
no failure, no person to fail. Failure is neither person, place
nor thing. It is a false thought and has no truth in it. It
is a belief in lack and there is no lack. It is a belief in a
limitation which does not exist." -
Dr. Ernest Holmes
So here we have it. There is no failure
... so there can be no excuses
... they are
merely weapons of mass deception ... that our
"human-ness" has created to stifle our Divine Magnificence!
line is ... failure is an excuse in disguise.
What we have experienced in the past ...
has created where we are ... what we do today ... and how we think about
what we are doing today ... is already expanding our experience on the
Un-Seen Side Of Life ... "if" we choose to call it Good ... it
will expand Good in our life ... "if" we choose to call it
something other than Good ... then we are using a weapon of deception
against our Self.
So It Is!
