"It
is my personal belief that each and every one of us should see ourselves
as a living, loving temple of Life. The Psalmist put it
beautifully when he referred to abiding "under the shadow of the
Almighty." When we do this, we know that we are never alone.
We know that we can extract whatever we need from this great, infinite
storehouse. We can do this through the power of Spirit within us
and at the same time never deny anyone else."
- Dr. Frank Richelieu, The Art Of Being Yourself
Because the world has taught us to believe that
G-d is outside of us, off in the heavens, we are mentally challenged to
accept that G-d in-dwells us and that G-d is Omnipresent … everywhere
Present. As Dr. Frank
Richelieu states above, “we are a living, loving temple of Life” …
and this is the Spirit within us. And
not only is the Spirit within, that is, Life Itself is within us, and It
is Intelligence. The Master
Mind Jesus was tuned-in to this Intelligence, and that is why He taught
us to relate to G-d, intelligently.
This Power and Presence that in-dwells us, already is aware of
our needs, our wants, and our desires … for this Intelligence is the
only Mind there is … the Source of all intelligent thought and ideas.
And the Psalmist statement, “under the shadow of the
Almighty” is telling us that “in this Spirit we live and move and
have our being” … Spirit being Mind, Mind being G-d.
We can
always rest assured that our ideas that take nothing away from anyone
else, are ours to have, if we can accept them for ourselves.
And it is this acceptance, that we must work with in our mind …
not the “details” … as we accept the results that we seek, for the
power of Spirit working through our consciousness of acceptance, will
provide the way and the means for its attainment (the Action of Law).
And so we know that our acceptance, is our evidence of our faith
and trust in infinite Intelligence to do its perfect work.
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen” we can read in scripture.
Whatever it is that we “hope for” … that is, whatever we
persistently accept for ourselves, we will see the evidence of it first
in the spirit, in mind, and then in form.
Lack of
direction in life, is probably the greatest cause of unhappiness.
Directing our thoughts and energies toward a goal, or purpose,
aligns us with Spirit, for It is always seeking to express something
through us … something new, something that will get us into the spirit
of Life in a greater way. In
a practical sense, this can be the remodeling of a home … or the
purchase of new furniture … or educating ourselves for a new career
… the possibilities are endless.
Whatever gives us a greater sense of happiness or accomplishment
- what ever gets us turned-on - brings us more in tune with the
Infinite, with Creative Mind. But,
for many people, the physical evidence of the conditions they find
themselves in, can be so overwhelming, that they do not go beyond what
they believe to be true based on the physical evidence in their lives,
or their past experiences.
When we are broke, out of a job,
experiencing illness, or dealing with conditions that overwhelm us, it
is not easy to believe that G-d is right where we are, available to us.
This is especially true for those of us who have accepted that
"sin" and "punishment" are part of G-d's plan for us
... for we may feel we have fallen out of G-d's "favor" ...
let's be clear with this, G-d does not "favor" anyone, so we
cannot fall out of G-d's favor, for the Love and Law of G-d favor no
one. As the Master Mind Jesus taught, all we need do is look to
Nature and we can see that "it rains on the good and the bad
alike." "G-d's favor" is a concept of G-d that
defies the scripture, "in Him we live and move and have our
being" ... can we fall out of Omnipresence? It would be like
saying if I trip and fall, I have fallen out of "favor with
Gravity." G-d is a neutral force the same as gravity ...
through Love and Law, G-d responds to us, we don't respond to G-d.
There is no good and evil in G-d ... there is only Good. Some
Christian churches baptize people in water to cleanse them of their sins
... and many people have drowned in water. Is water
"good" when we use it to baptize and "evil" when
people drown in it? No, water is just water ... it treats saints
and sinners alike, and all those in between ... water, like gravity, and
like G-d, does not judge. As Dr. Murphy often states, and let's
register this in our mind ... "nothing is good or bad, only
thinking makes it so" (William Shakespeare).
From Dr. Frank Richelieu: "Get
into the consciousness today that Infinite Mind is guiding, guarding and
protecting you. If your aim is high and you do not waver, you will
outdo yourself and come out on top. Maintain a high state of
consciousness every step of the way, knowing you can do what you desire
because you think and know you can, and because the infinite
Presence is there to guide you."
"The more I believe I can, the more I
can," states Dr. Richelieu, and as we tune-in to this higher truth
for ourselves and get turned-on by a new idea for ourselves, Spirit will
guide us in the direction that we choose ... for It is right where we
are, right now, waiting to respond to us. "The more I believe
I can, the more I can" ... let's make this our mantra as we move
into greater success, greater prosperity, greater happiness ... let's
get tuned-in and turned-on to Life, right now, right where we are.
AND
SO IT IS!
Keep
the faith!
