"John
14:25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send
in my nature, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to
your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
- attributed to the Rabbi Jesus, The Holy Bible KJV
"We
worship Spirit, appreciating the gifts of Spirit, in all its forms - and
we let the forms alone. We don't try to change them; they change
themselves by our recognition of Spirit."
- Emma
Curtis Hopkins, Unveiling Your Hidden Power
Last
night as I was working in my office, the words, "if I don't go
away, the Comforter will not come to you," filled my mind. At
first I didn't think much of it, but the words kept coming back to me
again and again. And as I sat in the silence contemplating why the
words came to me, and at the same time realizing that these were the
words of the Master Mind Jesus to those who were looking to Him for
their guidance and help, it came to my mind that so many of us continue
to look outside of us for so many of the things that we desire, because
we continue to have a level of uncertainty regarding our relationship
with Infinite Spirit. As I ended my contemplation, the words of
Emerson came to my mind, "That which I am to do best, only my Maker
can teach me." And so I continued to sit in the silence and
realized that both the Master Mind Jesus and Emerson were telling us the
same thing ... look to G-d, Infinite Spirit ... in other words, "do
as I do," Jesus was telling the people, and Emerson was merely
reinforcing these words.
"Whatever the mind can conceive, and
believe, the mind can achieve." It is the "believe"
that most of us must develop to a greater degree. And, for most of
us, we don't realize the level of our "belief" until we are
confronted with experiences that appear to test us. Our first
instinct is to attempt to change the things or whatever it is that
disturbs us. But, as we look at the way in which Jesus healed, we
realize that He always looked to G-d first, within Himself, and by
taking the good result He wanted to achieve into His consciousness, He
recognized that Spirit, working through His belief, would respond
spontaneously. He knew that all He must do is recognize the
presence of G-d, right where He was. No one has demonstrated this
Principle as definitely and clearly in any other way. This is why
consciously recognizing the Presence of G-d in our daily lives is so
very important.
Many of us find it difficult to
believe in Something that we cannot see. We are so accustomed to
associating our happiness and our joy with things that are visible.
I was listening to Siva Baba, also known as Wayne Dyer's guru, and he
was telling his audience that so many people come to him wanting money.
And I agree that it appears that many people come to spiritual teachers
seeking the "loaves and fishes" ... but, on a deeper level,
this is not the truth. If money was all that was being sought, we
would go to "money seminars" ... not spiritual seminars.
Receiving money is just a validation that G-d responds to us. In
other words, that the Spirit is working for us, through us. This
is something we all want to believe ... something we all want to
experience personally. And this being true, our lack, is perceived
as a lack of G-d's Presence in our lives ... and, although this can
never be true, the perception can be chilling, and allows duality to
infest our consciousness.
In the scripture we can read, "pray
without ceasing," and this means that we must "live in
alignment" with our prayers. If we pray for prosperity, we
must live, in our mind, as though we are already prosperous ... we must
speak to this prosperity, know that G-d is prospering us ... and let the
words that speak against prosperity, never leave our lips before we stop
the thought that brought them to our conscious mind. Our life must
be a testament to our prosperous living. And know with me now,
that your prosperity is G-d made manifest ... because All Is G-d, and
All Is Good. This recognition of the All-ness of G-d as Good, is
Principle ... and we must depend on it and it alone.
The greatest joy we will ever experience,
is the joy in knowing that G-d responds to us ... that we are personal
to G-d ... and that as we develop within our consciousness the same
deep, personal, relationship that Jesus and so many others have had with
G-d, we will then experience a joy that no material thing or worldly
experience could ever measure up to, including having lots and lots of
money. And why is this so? ... it is because this relationship
with G-d is eternal, and at some level of mind, we know this as the
Truth. And we won't ever "know" it consciously in all
ways and always ... until we turn to the All-in-All, which is G-d in all
things and always. Have I repeated this enough?
We have a direct
connection to G-d, for G-d is in us, pressing against us, surrounding
us, flowing through us ... closer to us than breathing. Believe
this is so, and I mean decide to really believe it is so, for it is the
most important thing we will ever "know." "If I
don't go away, the Comforter will not come to you." ... this is
what Jesus told me last night ... and He wasn't just speaking about
Himself.
AND
SO IT IS!
Keep
the faith!
