affirm, feel, and believe that God multiplies your good exceedingly.
You will be enriched every moment of the day spiritually, mentally,
intellectually, financially, and socially. There is no end to the
glory of man for his daily living. Watch the wonders that will
happen as you impress these truths on your subconscious mind. You
will experience a glorious future."

"Think Yourself Rich"
Affirming our good silently or out loud
using words that have meaning and feeling for us, has been demonstrated
over and over again to be effective in drawing a greater good into the
lives of countless numbers of people. But, our mind must be
prepared for our words just as the soil must be prepared for the seed
that is planted to grow into an abundant harvest. This week I am
continuing with the 5-Steps of Prayer-Treatment; 1)
Recognition, 2) Unity/Identification, 3) Realization/Declaration, 4)
Thanksgiving/Acceptance, 5) Release. Last week I wrote about
"Unity/Identification" and the week before,
"Recognition" these messages are included on the 2010
Archive page. This week, I will cover,
"Realization/Declaration" ... the 3rd Step in the mental
process of Prayer-Treatment.
As we understand that our prayers are not to
convince G-d of anything, but to convince ourselves ... it is best to
ask ourselves these four questions before we begin to write or speak our
"realization or declaration" statements:
1) Do I
really want this?
2) Do I
feel worthy and capable of having this?
3) How do I
feel when I believe I don't have it?
4) How do I
feel when I believe I have it?
These four questions can trigger in
our mind a connection to our great capacity to have faith in our self
and our inherent ability to realize more good in our lives. If we
take the time each day to write down what we want to experience, we will
find that ideas come to us that guide us to realize these experiences.
By writing these things down we are impressing our subconscious mind
that we are choosing to experience these things. When we write or
speak our treatments, we can include these ideas in our declaration
statements and get the mental equivalent of experiencing them in our
mind. It is very important that we realize the power that is
resident within our mind to accept ideas and expand upon them until they
become part of who we are. Once we have accepted whatever it is
that we are choosing to experience in our mind, our thought atmosphere
actually changes to reflect this greater consciousness of having.
Dr. Frank Richelieu writes of this in his book,
"The Art of Being Your Self": "When
you claim your good, you forget your mistakes. When you claim your
good, you forget the injuries and hurts you have received. You
forget the disappointments you have experienced. Why?
Because you cannot really claim your good in this new day and at the
same time be overwhelmed with memories of the past. You can't look
in two different directions at the same time. You carry over into
this new day only those things that are going to be an asset to you in
this new beginning."
When we declare our good we feel better
mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually ... for we are
aligning ourselves, in mind, with the All-Good, G-d. The
Master Mind Jesus stated: "But
seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these
things will be added to you."
This "kingdom of God" is the good that we dwell on mentally
... and the "righteousness" ... that is, right thinking
directed towards the good, draws all things to us and we can
"declare" this as the truth for us every day. Going back
to the first of the four questions: "Do I really want
this?" ... we can ask our self if the thing that we desire will
express a greater love of life through us ... not through the thing, but
through us? It is important that we have this realization, for the
Spirit is always seeking to express more love through us and so the
things that we desire to have, to be, or to do, must express a greater
love from within us. Are we ready to love more? ... to give more?
... if the answers to these two questions is "YES" ... then we
are ready to receive more.
Dr. Ernest Holmes wrote the following words for
Prayer-Treatment Step #3, "Realization/Declaration": "This
word I speak is for me, about me, is the truth of me. There is nothing
in my mind, or the mind of another, that can deny it. Its action and
fulfillment cannot be delayed, deferred, or hindered. I know, affirm,
and declare that Divine Intelligence, the Mind of God, now guides and
directs my every thought, my every action. I know what to do, when to do
it, and how to do it. Every good idea I have carries with it the
knowledge of the ways and means for its achievement. I am vigorous and
whole. I possess the vitality of the Infinite. I am strong and well.
God's Life is my life, now. His strength is my strength. His power is my
power. My whole being is renewed, invigorated, made alive. There is
peace, a Divine harmonious, dynamic, creative action at the center of my
being. Every breath I draw, every beat of my heart, is the perfect
rhythmic action of Life Itself. The expression of the One Perfect Life
in me as me is now perfectly maintaining every atom, cell, and organ of
my body. My body is a Divine idea in the Mind of God and no thing, no
situation or condition can prevent Its full and complete expression in
and as me. God created my body, knows how to maintain it, to remove what
doesn't belong, and to rebuild it. This is occurring right now. Without
reservation I know I now manifest and experience in all fullness and
completeness God's perfect idea of me, and in all respects, every
action, function, and structure of my body now conforms to it. There is
perfect assimilation, circulation, and elimination. All that I am is one
with the One Perfect Life. All the joy there is, all the happiness, all
the beauty are now mine. I am born of the Spirit. I am in the Spirit. I
am the Spirit made manifest."
SO IT IS!
