CELEBRATE THE CHRIST
Matthew 17:19 - Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not cast it out?" - The Holy Bible
To me, Christmas is not Christmas without Christ and if we allow ourselves to become so busy with buying presents and parties that we do not take the time to reflect on the Christ we are missing the greatest and most meaningful part of this holiday. Christ means the "Presence of God" and "Mass" is a celebration, so as we take the time to reflect and "Celebrate the Christ" we can look to Jesus, the greatest teacher of Life Principles, to guide us into receiving a greater awareness of our Divine "Christ" nature.
The Christ Is pure Love, genuine Love, the Love that takes no thought but to express Itself. It can appear to us so gracefully in a glimmer of a moment that we miss It. It can appear also when we are in the depths of despair and in that Silent moment that we ask for It, we receive It. I have personally experienced It in both ways. The Christ within us will lead us and guide us to right action that creates greater Love, Peace and Harmony in our lives. But, we must pay attention to It because It will appear to us through many avenues of expression. And often the avenue is one that appears challenging to the human intellect.
The Master Teacher, Jesus, taught us what we must do in order to live the "Christ Life." If we are experiencing disharmony or discord in our lives, we must meditate and pray to receive the Christ and we must prepare ourselves to receive It. How do we do this? Jesus said: 1] we must forgive seventy times seven 2] we must pray for our enemies and for those who spitefully use us 3] we must bring our tithes to the storehouse.
How many of us really do these things? I know that I don't. How do I know this? I know it when I feel discord and disharmony in my Life experience. I tithe a percentage [scientifically] of my income and I forgive others and I feel true compassion for those that I forgive. I pray for true forgiveness and compassion. But...... I do not pray for my enemies. I do not pray for those who have wronged me or wronged those I love. I just don't do it. I know I should, but I don't. I have been very belligerent on this point. I have faith in the Principles that Jesus taught and I know I will experience the Christ more consistently within myself and my experiences if I do. You see, Jesus, knew that as long as we are conscious of anger, we crack the door slightly open in our minds for ego to vindicate itself. But I still don't, but I am going to begin to - immediately. Because I know and accept the Truth that if there is disharmony or discord in my Life, I am allowing it to exist and it is up to me to "cast it out." I can only do this, if I am living in the awareness of the Christ Life. Even if I don't feel any anger towards anyone, and I don't, I still must do it - if I know someone feels anger towards me. It Is incumbent upon my recognition of this Truth that I do, and I don't mean that I am to pray that they move to China and get out of my life, but pray with sincerity for their highest and greatest Good. And I must pray until I have the awareness that my prayer has done its perfect work.
This Christmas my greatest gift is the experience that brought me the recognition that I must "pray for my enemies." I know and trust that in the doing of this, genuinely and authentically, I will clear the way in consciousness for greater Love, greater Joy and greater Harmony with all things and all people in my Life. "The Lord, my God enlightens my darkness." I can now begin to Celebrate the Christ with greater understanding and so can you!
And So It Is!
Letting Love use me in Its own Good Way,
