                   Passionately committed to teaching the Science of Mind, Rev. Bates coined the phrase  Evolutionary Science of Mind ... emphasizing this work as independent of all other Religious Science / Science of Mind organizations.  Evolutionary Science of Mind, does not include astrology, angel guides, gurus, channeling, or any New Age teaching that gives power to effects; candles, crystals, numerology, etc.  It is not Christian Science, Scientology, Christian or self-help psychology ... it is a teaching of Absolute Principle ... either we are believing that it is ... or we are believing that it is not ... there are no maybes in Evolutionary Science of Mind.  Rev. Dr. Henry Lee Bates teaches the "evolutionary" Science of Mind, knowing and understanding that the greatest honor we can bestow upon the great metaphysical teacher, Dr. Ernest Holmes, is to evolve his 1926 work so that it is attractive to, and persistently studied, by a contemporary audience.  This work has been developed to assist in providing answers to situations we face on a daily basis relating to social consciousness, sexuality and religious/spiritual thought.  Our mission and ministry is to serve as we are empowered by our understanding and knowledge of the Science of Mind, the teachings of the Master Mind Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

IN MEMORIAM

                             Dr. David J. Walker, Founding Pastor of the Los Angeles Center of Religious Science, has made his transition on April 15, 2010.  The Los Angeles Center of Religious Science (LACRS) was incorporated in 1989 and is affiliated with Religious Science International an Organization of SOM Centers and Churches.  Dr. David Walker studied with Dr. Robert H. Bitzer at the Hollywood Church of Religious Science.  I know that Dr. Walker’s absence will be deeply felt by so many and my blessings and thoughts are with them today.  I will leave it to those who will write his obituary to list his achievements, of which there are many.
